Fed: Voyager survivors still waiting for compensation

MELBOURNE, Feb 9 AAP - Forty years on and survivors of Australia's worst peacetime
military disaster are still waiting for compensation, a Melbourne lawyer said today.

One hundred and twenty two survivors of the 1964 collision between HMAS Melbourne and
HMAS Voyager off Jervis Bay on the NSW south coast have lodged claims against the government.

Tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of the disaster, but the survivors of the Melbourne's
crew, 42 from Victoria and 80 from NSW, were still waiting for compensation, Melbourne
